You need to update PrintBoss. It would be best to update before you move the PrintBoss folder to the new server.

Hi Nancy,
We are using 5.7 on windows 2008 server 64-bit and we are planning to move it to 2012 server 64-bit. Does 5.7 compatible with windows 2012 R2 Standard 64-bit? Thanks

1. Copy the entire PrintBoss folder from the old server to the new server.
2. Log on to each user workstation as Administrator.
3. Navigate to the PrintBoss folder on the new server.
4. Find the setup.exe. Right-click and choose the option 'Run as Administrator'
5. On the first screen change the HOME Directory to the new location.
6. Continue to click NEXT to FINISH.
7. Restart the computer or the Print Spooler Service as instructed.
Please note all USERS need Full Control rights to the PrintBoss folder on the server. And they also need Full Control rights to:
c:\programdata\Wellspring\PrintBoss

I'm an IT service provider, we are implementing a new server for our client. The old server has QB and PrintBoss install on the server, they currently use QB and PrintBoss from the server in a Terminal Services setup. We are moving to a server client setup. We have the new server onsite and QB moved to the new server and QB clients installed on the workstations. I need to get PrintBoss working from the client workstations using a network install.

What are the steps I need to take to migrate PrintBoss from the current terminal services setup, to a server client setup?
