You complete the first step by entering your username and password. The second step requires verifying your identity by providing a secret code that you receive through your preferred method

Clients not using PrintBoss for emailing invoices/checks/etc., or are emailing using a non-Microsoft server should not be affected.
Those clients emailing using Microsoft, such as Office365, will be affected, and we are currently working on the issue. We will release an update when we know more.

The latest notification from Microsoft seems to suggest App Passwords will be stopped along with the deprecation of basic authentication.
This may mean O365 will not be available for Printboss smtp use where MFA is required - unless you have changed your stance on support for it.

O365 has a solution for applications that are too stupid to authenticate with MFA.
The answer is to set up an "App Password" for PrintBoss to use.
I'm not sure why wellspringsoftware support does not provide this information, maybe they don't know. I had to figure it out on my own...

While we continue to review the issue of 2 step authentication, there has been no change in PrintBoss and is not currently on the project plan.

Any update on this issue?
Our client is implementing Micro$oft MFA on their O365 accounts and current PrintBoss does not like it.

No it does not. We are reviewing the possibility. As we see it, it would add significant processing time to emailing documents. It is not currently on the project plan, just in a discovery process

Attention support:

Does PrintBoss email processing support 2 step authentication?

Problem:
An IT service provide had implemented a "Multi Factor authentication" for one of our client and PrintBoss cannot send out emails to vendors/customers after the changes.

Thanks,
