Bank List Security

This is the first time someone has asked for the ability to see and use a bank record, but not Edit the bank record. We do not have a security setting for this request. When Edit capabilities are removed, the user cannot view the list, either. The only exception is the pop-up list that appears for some accounting systems when PrintBoss cannot auto select the bank record. Our development team will review this request and we will get back to you through email.

Javier Gomez Posts: 12 8/13/2014	Javier Gomez Posts: 12 Ok, I hit a snafu with this approach... I need the users to be able to look at the bank list and use the account to print a check, but NOT be able to modify the bank record. When I implemented the "User Security in Banks" I found out that I needed to allow them access to the account to be able to print a check (but that also gave them permissions to edit the bank record). Is there a way around it?

Is there ANY way to add the "Next Check #" to the fields that are shown when "Display ONLY primary fields" is selected on the Security - General Settings tab? This would help me tremendously.

paula Administrator Posts: 208 8/7/2014	paula Administrator Posts: 208 Javier - PrintBoss has a 'User Security in Banks' feature that can be enabled under Security settings. Once this feature is enabled and someone signs into PrintBoss as the Administrator, users can be given access to specific bank records. An unauthorized user cannot open or use a bank record, but they can see it in the bank list. Please refer to the Support Documents page of our web site for specific details. The document you want it titled, ‘Bank Security – Two Approaches’. It can be found under the How To/Bank Accounts folders.

Javier Gomez Posts: 12 8/6/2014	Javier Gomez Posts: 12 Hi! I'm trying to find a way to prevent users from modifying/editing Bank Records, but still allowing them to look at the Bank List. On "Basic User Rights" I can unselect "Edit Bank List" but this also prevents the users from seeing it. Any way to do this???
