PB launches only from Accpac Preview

It sounds like the client is using a newer version of Accpac (55 or above) and the PB50 driver. If so, the PB50 driver must to be set as the default printer in the Crystal report, otherwise Crystal will use the Accpac default printer rather than PrintBoss.
The alternative is to re-run the PrintBoss setup.exe as a Workstation install type and select the NT40 driver. the NT40 driver does not work beyond XP, but it is an option if the client does not have Crystal Reports.

We have a client, who has a new Windows XP workstation from which they need to print Accpac OE Order Confirmations. We are having that situation where, if they do print preview, then print, PrintBoss works fine. If they go directly to the printer, PrintBoss does not launch and the order prints with no formatting.
I've already done another workstation install.
I've already done renaming the XXX_P.ism file and reset the printer to PrintBoss 50.
I can print a sample form from PrintBoss directly to the printer with no problem.
What do you recommend we do to get the form to recognize PrintBoss directly?
