The next release of PrintBoss, version 6.0, will have the ability to use Google Mail.
The setup will be on the Options\Email Settings\SMTP/Mail Hosts tab.

Email Setting in PrintBoss:

SMTP URL: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587
UserID: your_email@gmail.com (NOTE: Authentication Method must be set to "Default" to edit this field)
Password: your_password
Authentication Method: Default
Use POP3 login before sending: UNCHECKED

GMail settings on Google's server:

Log in to http://mail.google.com/

In the upper right you will see your email address along with a small drop-down arrow. Click the arrow and then click "Account".

NOTE: If you have Google+ the link is nowhere to be found so go to https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps to make the changes noted below:

Click on "Security" from the choices at the top of this page.

In the "Account Permissions" section in the lower left click on the "Settings" link next to the "Less secure apps" caption.

Click "Enable" and then the "Done" button.

Subject: RE: FW: Google Mail and PrintBoss - Still
Outlook is simply an email program. It does not have an email account. The email account comes from an outside provider or source, such as SMTP, gmail (Google), AIM, Yahoo, hotmail, etc. It does not matter what service is used with Outlook as PrintBoss will interface with Outlook rather than the provider and Outlook will interface with the provider.
The reason PrintBoss does not work with outside providers is the software requires an SMTP address rather than an account, i.e. paula@wellspringsoftware.com. The account ensures the provider can track activity. The SMTP does not track by account and can easily be used for SPAM. This is why email providers do not allow direct access to the SMTP, only to the account.

It will work if Outlook is configured to use Google Apps and you are using PrintBoss Enterprise.

Is this going to work if Outlook is configured for Google apps? I need a solution. Thanks.
