Do I need to use MICR toner to print my checks? |
Check with your bank. Our software products do not require MICR toner to function properly, however your bank may need it to read the MICR line at the bottom of the check.

What is MICR? |
MICR stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition. It refers both to the magnetic ink put in toner cartridges used for printing checks and it also refers to the
specialized font (E-13B) used to print the account number, routing number, and

What is Wellspring Software's MICR standard? |
When printing checks using PrintBoss with a LaserJet printer, the MICR line is printed according to all of the American Banking Association's (ABA) requirements.
In some cases, a slight adjustment can be made in PrintBoss to locate the MICR
line properly if the printer being used is not quite standardized relative to
left and top margin.
