Though I would normally inquire what version of PrintBoss you are using, I googled your error and it appears to be a Microsoft issue. Try googling: faulting application name mstsc.exe; or mstsc.exe crashes from Win7SP1 to find answers.
BTW, only PrintBoss 5.64.9 and above are compatible with Windows 7.

Microsoft GP 2010 is installed on a Windows 2008 R2 server. I access GP through RDP to the 2008 server. I just got a new Windows 7 32-bit workstation that has SP1 installed. The PrintBoss folder is located on a Windows 2003 server share that I have full permissions to. I was able to install the newest version of PrintBoss along with the PrintBoss 50 printer.
When inside the RDP session, I try to print a check in GP and it crashes mstsc.exe. I get this in the Application Event Logs: Faulting application name: mstsc.exe, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7a161 Faulting module name: msvcrt.dll, version: 7.0.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bda6f Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0001d33d Faulting process id: 0x10e4 Faulting application start time: 0x01cc61e2ed65b097 Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\mstsc.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\msvcrt.dll Report Id: 5d5c127f-cdd6-11e0-85e7-2c27d731ab76
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? This is a brand new PC, and it is completely up to date on its Windows updates. My old XP workstation with the PrintBoss 40 printer works just fine.
