Bank info suddenly disappears!

Joey - This is unusual. We are aware the Crypto Virus attacks databases and the bank records are saved in a database. We suggest running a virus scanner on the affected computer(s) to ensure no viruses are present.

If the PrintBoss folder is backed up, the bank records can be restored. Please contact our technical support group if you need further assistance.

You may not need POP3. Please try the SMTP without POP3.

The developer has determined there are issues with both the Calibri and Klavika fonts and they do not work with PrintBoss. We do not have a fix. The alternative is, as you did, to use a different font.

Understood. The challenge is PrintBoss does not know it is Calibri and we know at least 2 fonts are not read by PrintBoss.

We have one other client who set the Form to print Text as Graphics and is successfully using Calbri. However, the Form works because they are not capturing and moving data. They are only using PrintBoss to email.

Tim this sounds like a crystal report issue. Print the document to Preview in Sage 300 to determine if a blank page is added.

Emailing from two different SMTP

paula

Your email leads to several questions. Foremost, what is the Save Setting for the SMTP / Mail Hosts tab? I assume it is Common/WinUserName from the post below, but it would be helpful to know this setting. As you may recall, this setting is specific to each tab in the E-mail Settings dialog.

The EMailFrom address is the address of the person sending the email and must be a valid email address in the domain used for the SMTP. Otherwise, the SMTP will reject the credentials. This is an SMTP function, not a PrintBoss function. PrintBoss is merely the tool used to pass the information.

The current Enterprise edition of PrintBoss, version 6.01.1, has the ability assign variables for the SMTP fields in the PrintBoss Form as follows:

  • SMTPHost – Assign URL
  • SMTPUserID – Assign User ID
  • SMTPUserPassword – Assign Password
  • SMTPPort – Assign Port number
  • SMTPAuth – Assign Authentication Method. The values are as follows:
    • 0 for Simple,
    • 1 for Default (this activates the User ID and Password fields)
    • 2 for POP3 Login
  • SMTPSSL – Assign SSL Type. The values are as follows:
    • 0 for None
    • 1 for SSL 2
    • 2 for SSL 2.3
    • 3 for SSL 3
    • 4 for TLS 1
    • 5 for TLS 1.1
    • 6 for TLS 1.2

These value can be set conditionally in the PrintBoss Form.

There is a checkbox on the Positive Pay / ACH Editor to ‘Exclude records with zero amount’. This prevents overflow entries from being included in the Positive Pay file.

Copying Positive Pay files using Globalscape

paula

PrintBoss closes the Positive Pay file when the batch is completed. The name is created at the beginning of the batch and the file is closed when the batch is complete. We have other clients who email this file with through PrintBoss with no problem once the batch is completed. Is it possible that Globalscape is trying to pick up the file before the batch is completed? I see you have set a delay, but without knowing the number of documents in the batch the delay may not be long enough. The other thing to consider is some other process on the server is holding the file open. You may want to check if virus scanning software or Windows Defender is running. If so, exempt the file location from these applications.
Another option is to set PrintBoss to close automatically when the batch is complete when it is launched by Sage 300. This will ensure PrintBoss is finished with the file and it is closed. This feature can be found under Options/Configurations on the PrintBoss Master Application.

Effective Date of an ACH transaction

paula

The ACHEfctvdate is a formula on line 12 of the Header tab in the ACH Sample file. If you would like to use a value passed from Sage, assign a different variable in the raw data of the PrintBoss Form and replace our ACHEfctvDate with your variable. You will also need to reformat the date as the slashes are not allowed. The format must be YYMMDD.

Incorrect Bank information on Checks

paula

This typically occurs with QuickBooks. The user selects the wrong bank from the bank list when printing checks and does not uncheck the 'overwrite Bank Code' checkbox. The selected bank is now being auto selected incorrectly. Change the Bank Code in the PrintBoss bank list to match the Bank Name:Company Name for the correct company and bank. The bank name can be found in the Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks.

Please confirm you have checked the following:

1. No 2 bank records have the same Bank Code
2. The Routing Number and Account Number is correct for the intended bank record.

The only reason I am asking confirmation is no one else has reported an issue. If this was due to the new version, we would be flooded with calls.

When PrintBoss does not find an exact match, it opens a window with a list of the available banks. At the bottom of that window there is a checkbox to overwrite the BankCode. This box is checked by default.

This is a Sage 300 CRE error, not a PrintBoss error. You may want to ask Sage this question.

Teri - If I understand your question, you would like to hide the 'Pay Only' block security text from printing, but you want to view it on the Form. Every command includes a Condition field. The condition to prevent an object from printing is ViewOnly. This value can be entered in the Condition field. The button at the end of the condition field lists all the available conditions. This field is visible when you double click on an object in either the Work File View or Form View.

Joey you have the right idea, but the wrong syntax. It should be:

Is the Amnt4 field assigned in the PrintBoss Form?
