8/23/2018 Topic: PrintBoss Release 6.0.3.0 Dated 8/22/2018 Nancy Administrator	PrintBoss 6.0.3.0 has been posted. A summary of the additions, changes and fixes follow. Additions: Added drive letter parameters to FileExists function. #[fileexists,'\sig1.jpg','cflhQ']Text 1.5, 1.5, 'Arial/7', 'Found It!' It will return true if the file exists on one of the passed drive letters. It won't tell you which drive, just that it exists. Added a FileLocation function. {Filelocation:\sig1.jpg,CDLQF} After the : you put in the path less the drive letter and colon. It will search the drive letters that you pass and stops after the first find. If you have the same file on D: and F: it will return the D:\sig1.jpg file as passed using the above line NOTE: Disk I/O functionality is time intensive and if you have a number of signatures to test the batch will take longer. Added CHRCount function: {CHRCOUNT:÷{mystr}÷,','} or {CHRCOUNT:'one|two|three|four|','|'} Will count the number of a specified character in the string. This can be useful for determining how many entries are in a comma delimited string. Added an expiration warning for ASP licenses which appears two weeks before the expiration date. Added drag-n-drop of PNG and JPEG images. The MICR routing number in the Bank Record now has a minimum character count of 9 characters. A new Tech Support favorite – there is a menu item for starting a Support Ticket from PrintBoss\Help. Changes: Changed the ACH tab in the Bank Record so users cannot manually type in the Payee list field. Changed the length of the {WinUserName} field. It is now 30 characters like the {UserName} field is. Also changed it to {TUserName}. Changed the FTP process such that the .upl file is always saved so that the file can be manually sent at a later time. Changed the FTP array to str25 instead of str20 because the edit fields and db field is 25. Finally, there is a fix in the processing of the BatchCount function in ACH. Previously, in a Payee record if Account1 was set to inactive but Account2 was still set to an active status it would run but the BatchCount would be wrong. A change was made so that you cannot click OK to save a payee record if a previous account is inactive while a later account is active.

10/9/2018 Topic: Wrong date on cheques Nancy Administrator	Lysdexia, see Tom Wood's response below. The computer date differs from the setting in the PrintBoss form. From the Work file view in PrintBoss you can double click on the date. The objects properties command box will open. You can make adjustments there. 10/23/2018 Topic: Editing the Check Form Nancy Administrator	the check description comes from Sage 300 CRE. PrintBoss just addes a grid around the data. If you print a check directly to a printer instead of PrintBoss you would see how the data looks as it comes into PrintBoss software. We can also see it as the Raw Capture View in the PrintBoss Work file. In the Work file View hold Cntrl R and you will see how the data looks before PrintBoss processes the check.

11/29/2018 Topic: System Requirements Nancy Administrator	the latest version of PrintBoss will work, however, the crystal reports for Sage 300 ERP Version 5.6 are no longer distributed with the software. You would need to request the reports you need. PrintBoss is a Windows based program. The latest version will run on Microsoft supported platforms. If you will have multiple users, then it should be installed on a shared server. Or it can be installed on one user workstation, for single user access. Check printers should be standard HP compatible printers with PCL5e or PCL6 drivers (not PS). The appropriate printer model will depend on the amount of printing and if the bank requires, the availability of MICR ink toner cartridges. edited by Nancy on 11/29/2018

If you are familiar enough with PrintBoss, you can view the raw data from the PrintBoss Work file and make adjustments to the capture range the two variables. Or, you can enter a service request at http://wellspringsoftware.com/Company/Contact.aspx. You will need your PrintBoss serial number. You will be immediately entered into the queue for a call back. Does the document show in full? If so, reset the printer itself. If not, check the originating document in the ACCOUNTING software.

PrintBoss will automatically link to a 3-checks to a page check form in PrintBoss. You will have options to print 1,2 or all three checks.

Go to Options\Configuration\Internal Under Misc Application Properties: check the box "When launched by Acct. Host [GP], Terminate PrintBoss After Batch Print This will close PrintBoss and force the log in for the next batch print.
